ATLANTA, GA (February 19, 2008) -- Blue Giraffe Sports ("BGS") is proud to announce that Southern Tide Clothing is making its launch on the PGA and Nationwide Tours this year. The brand's distinctive Skipjack logo will be seen on Justin Bolli as he returns to the PGA TOUR in 2008 after finishing eighth (8th) on the 2007 Nationwide Tour Money List including his second career NW Tour Win at the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic. About the partnership Bolli says, "Being from the Southeast, it is great to have a partnership that is with a regional brand. I look forward to supporting Southern Tide and helping them gain additional exposure on a national level." The clothing will also be worn by Greenville native and former Riverside High School and Clemson standout, Brent Delahoussaye. Brent is making his debut season on the Nationwide Tour and is very excited about the partnership. "Being a Greenville native and having Southern Tide in my backyard, I cannot think of a better partnership."
This marks the first endeavor into golf for the Greenville, South Carolina based Southern Tide. The company was started by Allen Stephenson with a focus on fine polo shirts. Stephenson says, "While spending time in the fashion districts of Florence and Rome, I was drawn to the amazing quality of fabrics, construction, and style of Italian clothing. This inspiration led me to the creation of Southern Tide." The young company will rely on Justin to be their spokesman on the PGA TOUR and Brent on the Nationwide Tour as the brand continues to grow in 2008 with new products including pants and a women's line. Currently Southern Tide is found in more than fifty men's and women's specialty stores throughout the southeast.
